XAN MYBURGH, CFA

CEO, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR 

Xan is the co-founder and CEO of Viacor Property Group. 

Xan co-founded Reinmax construction with Ryno Nel and serves on the board of directors. He is also a non-executive director of Cash Flow Capital and a member of its investment committee. 

He has extensive private equity experience in real estate, construction, consumer goods, events management and finance.

MICHAIL MYBURGH, CFA

CFO, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Michail is the co-founder and Executive Director of Viacor Property Group, a real-estate investment holding company that specializes in opportunistic real estate acquisitions and developments in South Africa. Viacor is based in the private equity real-estate model. Over the past few years he has worked on various student housing developments, urban revitalization projects and commercial buildings. Furthermore, Michail is co-founder, executive director and a member of the investment committee of Cash Flow Capital, a merchant cash advance company that operates in South Africa. 

Michail also serves on the board of directors of Reinmax Construction and Project Management, a high-end residential construction company and subsidiary of Viacor Property Group. 

Michail is a CFA charterholder  and completed all three CFA exams within 18 months, the shortest time possible. He also completed both CAIA (chartered alternative investment analyst) exams within one year. Michail holds a BComm (Investment Management) degree from the University of Stellenbosch.

MICHAEL DU PLOOy, CFA

INVESTMENT ANALYSTS.

Michael came across to Viacor Property Group after working for one of the largest wealth managers in South Africa where he personally managed a portfolio of R340 Million, whilst also fulfilling the role of financial analyst and stockbroker.

Michael serves as Investment analysts for Viacor Property Group, a private equity real estate company specializing in commercial developments. Michael also serves as general operations manager of Cash Flow Capital, a merchant cash advance company that operates in South Africa, and is also a member of its investment committee.

Michael completed his Bcomm degree in Investment management at the University of Pretoria and also went on to finish his Bcomm Honours degree in Financial Management sciences at the University of Pretoria. Michael is a member of the Investment Analysts Society of Southern Africa and is a CFA level 3 candidate.

Paul James Irons. 

Over the past 15 years, Paul has participated in the United Kingdom and South African construction industry and contributed to an array of global property transactions for a privately owned London based property fund. His areas of expertise include strategic land and fixed asset acquisitions and disposals, redevelopment of brown and green field sites, regeneration projects in city centers and fixed asset portfolio management.  He was domiciled in London for 10 years before moving to South Africa in 2010.

In 2010 Paul returned to South Africa to join his family construction business which is one of the largest privately owned construction companies in South Africa, turning R1 billion per annum.

Whilst working for Capital and Provident in London as Development Director, Paul managed a portfolio of properties comprising of strategic investment and sites ripe for redevelopment to the value of £250m. Some of these projects included the development of The Hilton Hotel, South Quay Station London (EC14), the redevelopment of 26 BP sites located across the UK and the development of a 410 bedroom student accommodation project in Pitfield Street, London for Unite University.

Paul’s experience in the construction industry and property markets has enabled him to acquire and develop a multifaceted skill base through his exposure to these markets. This has enabled him to have a sound understanding of the processes required when developing holistic strategies and ideas for development opportunities as well as the ability to project manage property developments from inception to fruition.

He received a B.Tech (Construction Management) degree in 1998 and an MBA from the University of Reading (Collage of Estate Management) in the UK.
